During my final year of university we endured the Covid-19 pandemic, and the lockdown caused by the outbreak. During this time I worked a part time job and attended online lectures and seminars all while remaining in a small flat. Motivation was something that myself and other students found increasingly difficult to muster as you can imagine. So as a way to not only motivate myself, but hopefully motivate friends and more, I decided to try run a social media account that posted daily motivational quotes. Not only would this motivate others, but moreover it would allow me to develop my social media skills and ability to deliver on daily content.
During the 6 months that I ran this social media account I was able to organically grow the account to over 3,000 followers, and even managed to run a few sponsored posts that funded the advertising campaigns I ran weekly. Overall I was incredibly satisfied with how this experiment went, it allowed me to develop my skills and gain experience. Furthermore, the funding provided by sponsors allowed for the account to not only be able to cover its own advertising costs, but even allowed for me to gain profit that aided in paying for my university studies.
The account is still running to this day, however I decided to stop posting content daily so I could focus on my dissertation and enjoy my post university summer. The account is named @emanatesuccess
